Sixty golfers gathered at Diablo Grande golf course on June 4 in a successful fundraising event for the Western United Dairymen Federal Political Action Committee. The day-long event saw some rain along with plenty of competition between the teams. The winning foursome taking home top honors was John Souza, Jason Mattos, Jack Prince, and Steve Springer. Game hole winners for the day included: John Zylstra for the putting contest; Steve Springer for men’s longest drive; Becky Deniz for women’s longest drive; John Zylstra for closest to the pin on Hole 4 (the winner of Mike Marsh’s $100); and Mike Plaa for closest to the pin on Hole 16.
