Mark Looker, Communications Manager

Mark is a Modesto-based agricultural communications consultant specializing in the use of media relations, newsletters, press releases, field meetings and web-based applications to communicate with agricultural producers about the varied legislative, regulatory and environmental issues they face. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, with a concentration in newspapers, from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, in 1976. After a six-year stint in small community newspapers as a reporter and editor, he entered the political arena, working as campaign coordinator for former Congressman Tony Coelho and Administrative Assistant to State Senator Dan McCorquodale (D-Modesto) before leaving in 1992 to form his consulting business. Mark is a member of the Industry Advisory Council
Agriculture Education and Communications department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and a member of the Agricultural Relations Council, a national organization of agricultural communications professionals.
